Body: Abstract: This liaison statement informs ITU-T SG11, ITU-T SG17, 3GPP
SA2, ETSI F5G, IETF NMRG, IETF NVO3 about the initiation of the new draft
Recommendation ITU-T Y.IMT2020-DDP “Future networks including IMT-2020:
requirements and framework of distributed data plane”.
At the ITU-T SG13 meeting (Geneva, 4-15 March 2024), SG13 agreed on the
initiation of the new draft Recommendation “Future networks including IMT-2020:
requirements and framework of distributed data plane”.
This new draft Recommendation specifies requirements, functional architecture
and procedures, and provides security considerations and use cases of
distributed data plane, in the context of future networks including IMT-2020.
ITU-T SG13 looks forward to keeping continued collaboration and exchange with
you on the topics of distributed data plane for future networks including
IMT-2020.
