Additional information. I can change the value of an existing entry in
the preferences and it is reflected in the db file. Just can't seem to
add to the list of preferences.

4.1.0 32bit. I'll go look at the permissions on the db file.

I'll also try to dump that db.

I assume that it should populate another line in the Preferences
which is not happening.

Thanks.

What version? This works fine on 403 and 410. Fyi the prefs are in a db,
prefscache.db, Berkely db I think?

Subject: [Ntop] problems with setting up a community

Looked at the FAQ but didn't find anything to help with this problem.
I want to create a community for a subnet and I can't get the edit
preferences web page to do anything useful.

I want something like community.foo=10.90.26.0/24

I tried Preference column community.foo Configured Value 10.9.26.0/24
to no effect. I would put in the text value in some file but I can't
figure out which file. Syslog is not dropping any errors and neither is
the ntop log.

Any help would be greatly accepted.

thanks,

ted
