Hi,

I just got more info about this. According to http://developers.slashdot.org/story/11/01/27/2059200/SourceForge-Down-After-Attack-Updated, Sourceforge's entire CVS structure is down due to some external attack (more details in http://sourceforge.net/apps/wordpress/sourceforge/2011/01/27/service-downtime/). So, this problem will probably cease by itself soon (a day? 2? ).

Hi,

I´m tryng to install ntop but got stuck at the final step: gmake install. Gmake is trying to update the file etter.finger.os, but there seems to bee some problem with the server: --2011-01-27 13:46:43-- http://ettercap.cvs.sourceforge.net/ettercap/ettercap_ng/share/etter.finger.os?rev=HEAD
Resolving ettercap.cvs.sourceforge.net... 216.34.181.111
Connecting to ettercap.cvs.sourceforge.net|216.34.181.111|:80... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... Read error (Connection reset by peer) in headers.
Retrying.

After 15 attempts, gmake gives up. Accessing the ettercap page (anything inside http://ettercap.cvs.sourceforge.net) , sourceforge is returning an error message.

Is there some parameter for configure so that gmake does not try to update the ettercap file? Or, alternatively, some update to the ETTER_PASSIVE_DOWNLOAD_FROM parameter in the Makefile, so gmake makes the download from somewhere else?

Tks,

Roberto
