I was advised to try the latest development release. I have been running the 
stable version. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled v2.5.161113, and now I can 
display any time period on that chart quickly. I'm not sure if it's using a 
more efficient query, or if it has done something to the database to speed it 
up, but it's good now.
