Today I upgraded both the system kernel to scientific linux 6 (2.6.32-642.6.2.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP). Because the ixgbe driver was having issues compiling against the new kernel, I also upgraded to git current PFRING_ZC v.6.5.0.161021 .
When starting zbalance_ipc I now see: > [root@crt-xsec-w1 examples_zc]# ./zbalance_ipc -i zc:eth2 -n 7 -c 2 > ######################################################################### > # ERROR: You do not seem to have a valid PF_RING ZC license 6.5.0.161021 for > eth2 [Intel 10 Gbit ixgbe 82599-based] > # ERROR: Please get one at http://shop.ntop.org/. > ######################################################################### > # We're now working in demo mode with packet capture and > # transmission limited to 5 minutes > ######################################################################### > ######################################################################### > # ERROR: You do not seem to have a valid PF_RING ZC license 6.5.0.161021 for > eth2 [Intel 10 Gbit ixgbe 82599-based] > # ERROR: Please get one at http://shop.ntop.org/. > ######################################################################### even though when I check the license: [root@crt-xsec-w1 examples_zc]# cat /etc/pf_ring/90E2BA8BAD84 EF958D80D26995A991B46A64B.... it matches the output for the web site when I tried the same orderid & MAC with the newer ZC version The orderId 14...0 has already created the license 'EF958D80D26...DEB' for mac address '90:E2:BA:8B:AD:84'. We are in a bit of a fix here as 5 min of traffic doesn't buy us much... scott -- "The enemy knows the system." — Claude Shannon _______________________________________________ Ntop-misc mailing list [email protected] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop-misc
