I tried metaUML library as you suggested but it didn't work as Hans said.

Then you need to figure out what makes it fail; keep in mind that arbitrary lua or metapost or tex code is not supposed to work in any other lua, metapost or tex setup. To some extend tikz is an exception but that was written to work everywhere and has so many interfaces that in provides its own generic code for that.

If something is written with e.g. latex in mind you can just forget about it: different eco systems,  audience, design, mindset, interfaces, text-in-mp integration, variables etc ... all can result in a mismatch of expectations. So, of there is some error message you can post it and maybe someone knows.

metaUML seems to use a lot of text and is probably deeply linked with LaTeX.
There are MP libraries that work with “any” TeX, but they’re probably designed for it (e.g. fiziko).

I don’t know if “our” nodes module is usable for UML, have a look at manuals/nodes.pdf
