Is language tagging still to be finished?
you need to load a goodie (for now)
\setuplanguage[agr][goodies={lang-agr.llg}]
Many thanks for your explanation, Hans.
I attach the goodies for language codes with different chars (no case
variants).
Just tested them (with https://www.ngpdf.com/) and they seem to work fine.
\doloopoverlist{agr, ua, deo, farsi, cn, kr, gr, es-la, mo}
{\startblockquote[\recursestring]
\dorecurse{3}{\startparagraph
testing language: \currentlanguage
\stopparagraph}
\stopblockquote}
so you want language on a paragraph> btw, paragraph is kind of costly,
maybe i need to check that too; there is also bpar but that one is
ungrouped
No, I was checking tagging and I found an issue.
\startblockquote...\stopblockquote is tagged as
delimitedblock(Div)/delimitedcontent(Span).
Language tag is added in delimitedcontent(Span). But blockquotes may
contain paragraphs.
The issue is that delimitedcontent(Span) may be containing paragraph(P),
which is not allowed.
Sorry, but I don’t see why blockquotes should contain only a single
paragraph.
we're currently sorting out this nesting pdf tag and the more one looks
into it (and evolving validation) the worse it looks ... of course we
will adapt but all that tagging has little to do with structure
(as with opentype math, unicode math, mathml on the web, pdf tagging is
just something that texies have to endure out of their control and that
has come to them inspite of tex being kind of present .. one can wonder
how and/or why it came that far but lucky us that texis flexible and can
be programmed)
so blockquotes: what we think blockquotes are is not really what they
are in the pdf universe and that is true for more ... don't look at
these tags and assume meaning from them: it's a mix of application stuff
(so sometines more detail as in rubies), html influence (so we see
table, tr, td but mixed with crazy tags too), structure (but not really
as part, sect and art means something else), again html (but div not
being div and span maybe) ... long tags, short tags, abritary nesting
kind of ... an "IKEA ball pit" and as with IKEA, one has to wander the
shop three times to arrive at the place one needs to be and they find
out that some okay product disappeared of has been stripped down to save
production costs (now Mikael will step in and defend IKEA, while I'm
sitting on a real nice heavy wood desk of that brand and staring at
varde stuff anyway)
hey,
Hans
