On the kana part: the ordinal numbers I use are old-fashioned sorting methods. 
The one you mentioned is indeed the more commonly used sorting method these 
days.

In general, it is unlikely to be sorted to more than 10 serial numbers. 
But as a complete implementation, if it exceeds its maximum ordinal number, 
it seems to be overlay after sorting. Like what:

あ  い  … ん       ---  1     2  ...  45
ああ あい … あん   ---  46  47 ... 90
いあ いい … いん   ---  91  92 ...  135
