`nam-1.14´ cannot be compiled without editing tk8*.
(tk-8.4-lastevent.patch).
Generally nam will often fail. 
And : All the Ubuntu nam packages are corrupt.

Nam packages that will work OK ....

Please delete all nam executable´s you may have. And delete all `nam-1.1*/´
folders.
Download a package for your OS, install the package, and you have a
functional 'nam'.
