"the file didnt extract without errors" : A corrupt download ? $ tar xvf NS-MIH-MULTI-CRITERIA.tar.bz2 : OK here. "it is out of date" : All ns-allinone -2.26 .. -2.35 + 95? % of the available patches will compile OK on any contemporary "Linux OS". I.e. : Just use the right compiler. Getting a compiler : Please specify your OS: $ cat /etc/*release* ; $ uname -m * The only problem with the included ns-allinone-2.29.zip, is to make it clean. ( It's a compiled version, with all the creators PATH's.) Example from today : $ cd ns-allinone-2.29/ && export CC=gcc34 CXX=g++34 && ./install : No errors. Other example : Post #20, etc. here .. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/programming-9/install-ns2-29-on-ubunto-11-04-nist-mobility-patch-898571/page2.html * A clean version of the MIH-MULTI-CRITERIA patched ns-allinone-2.29(.3) : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7S255p3kFXNdGhReERFLVlvcEU/edit?usp=sharing >> NS-MIH-MULTI-CRITERIA-ns229.tar.bz2 ( 28.7 MB ). - -- View this message in context: http://network-simulator-ns-2.7690.n7.nabble.com/802-21-handover-execution-simulator-tp27255p27257.html Sent from the ns-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
