I would like to be able to use sexp queries in the emacs front end, and the easiest way of doing that is to add a hard dependency on the sfsexp library in some upcoming release. Alternatively I could add some more convoluted logic that only insists on the sfsexp library if "--with-emacs" is specified, but since (whatever I might think about it), many people prefer to get the emacs front end from MELPA, this sounds a bit fragile. Are there major OS/distros without sfsexp support now? Would that be hard to fix?
