Indeed, it comes from ’font-lock-mode’, IIUC. My questions was: 1) Is it possible to control the open/closing message per message? Even when viewing all the thread. 2) Is it possible to globally turn off the highlight of quotes? Therefore, ’font-lock-mode’ answers to #2. :-) About #1, I simply switch to the tree view; for now, it is enough for my needs. I will invest energy when I need more. :-) Thanks for the help.
