Hi David. Perhaps I am missing something here. But I do not get any warnings when building with GCC 4.6.2 with -Wall -Werror (-O2 and -O0). I do not like adding any complex hacks to make the build warning-free on old GCC versions. If this happens on the build bot, we should just update it or ignore the warnings.
