Tomaz Muraus commented on LIBCLOUD-608:
---------------------------------------

I remember noticing this at the beginning of this year when I was working on
the Amazon driver.

It has been a while since then, but IIRC, there were some issue when using POST
in the signature string (aka documentation is wrong) so I have intentionally
haven't fixed / changed it.

I will have a look again when I have more time and if that is still the case, I
will add a comment to the code which clarifies that.

In any case, the authentication still appears to be working correctly (unless
something has changed in the last day), so that's a low priority issue since it
doesn't affect end users. If it wouldn't, more users should have noticed that
by now.

> Amazon EC2 methods don't work with 'POST'

> When creating the signature for EC2 api requests, it is always built as if
> the request is done using GET.
> The word 'GET' is hardcoded in the method that builds the signature.
> file : common/aws.py line : 171
> and in the AWS documentation, it says you need to use 'POST' or 'GET'
> depending on which method you use.

> (This happens in version 0.15.1)
