Thank you for this workaround @ptupitsyn. Maybe it's worth making the timestamp available in the client API? At least I was searching for something like that when I first stumbled over the issue. I've integrated that into our application, and it seems to work, but further tests are needed. I just ran a few simple tests and nothing under load. Since you mentioned this is an internal API.
