My name is Leon Rheeder. I am currently finishing my master’s degree under the
supervision of Professor Reinhardt Botha at Nelson Mandela University.
My dissertation, titled “A Framework for Selecting NoSQL Databases: A NetFlow
Use Case”, aims to assist IT practitioners in making better decisions regarding
NoSQL databases. Part of my proposed model weighs various criteria to ensure
comprehensive coverage of features.
I use NetFlow analysis as a use case to demonstrate the use of my proposed
model. In order to demonstrate one of the proposed ways to allocate weightings,
we developed a tool in the form of a questionnaire. Your knowledge of NetFlow
could provide me with practitioner-informed weights for my use case
demonstration. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you would take the time to
answer the questionnaire.
Participation in this exercise is completely voluntary. I kindly request that

business on Monday 13 November 2017. When answering the questionnaire, imagine
that the NetFlow data is being used for analysis beyond the typical operational
monitoring of the network. This could include trend analysis, security
analysis, or decision support.
