So how would you tell sendfile where the packet/datagram boundaries
are?  That's the big issue that comes to my mind.

Also, would it be okay for sendfile to blast out datagrams as fast as
it can, or is there some pacing needed?  And how would you tell
sendfile about the pacing that's needed?

I'm not saying it would be impossible to do something like sendfile
for UDP, but I don't see sendfile having enough capability to do the
job.
