Thank you for your comprehensive reply, Daniel. I'm not sure it will be me, because I am still trying to get to grips with USB, and then some debugging of MTP, and then Bluetooth over USB. OTOH, I'm not sure that I will ever really get to grips with Bluetooth sufficiently to make it work.
