Yeah, this is a known issue, and one of the reasons I was mentioning the important of nova + quantum integration test at the netstack meeting yesterday :)
Trey has a fix for this: https://review.openstack.org/#change,3145 I believe spinning up the VM should actually still work (it worked for me despite this message, at least on a recent version of nova trunk), but spinning DOWN VMs does not work without the fix. Either way, we're just waiting on one more core review, then this change will be in Nova trunk.
