From kernel functionality point of view. Yes, I am talking about error codes returned by filename_lookup(). For example, if CONFIG_PID_NS or CONFIG_NAMESPACES is not defined in the config, the path "/proc/self/ns/pid" will not exist, the error code will return. It may be -ENOTDIR if CONFIG_NAMESPACES not defined or -ECHILD if CONFIG_PID_NS is not defined. Please double check.
