Gentlemen in the "To:" list,
The above list of e1000 fixes contains scary words like "lock up",
"hang", etc. which motivates me to push it upstream rapidly. However,
the cumulative size of the 11 patches gives me pause... I am also
nervous about pushing this stuff upstream if 2.6.16 release is close,
since the fixes will receive next to zero sanity checks.
If we recall, 2.6.15 or 2.6.14 also had a very late e1000 "fix" push,
which resulted in non-working e1000's all over the place.
The more I think about it, the less motivated I am to push these changes
into 2.6.16 at the last minute. Comments?
