My experience with Kernel Summit was that things "decided" at a summit
lose their significance within a month as new developments happen and
ideas become clearer. Didn't Linus "decide" to implement CML2 at KS
in 2001 or so?

The important function of these gatherings is to engage developers who
are inept at e-mail, locked inside a vendor sandbox, or otherwise
disconnected socially, but write good code. That's fine, but probably
has no relation to API design. Jean seems to be at home on the list.

I do not expect much from Wireless Summit regarding "decisions". It's
not like some revolution is going to happen there. It should be a nice
gathering to run some tests in high-density environment, get a bunch
of oopses...
