Hello, I've been reading the source code for the tg3 module (Broadcom Tigon3 Ethernet card) in the Linux kernel. Specifically, I need to access the NIC specific statistics, since I have to measure the performance of a server under heavy network loads. Althought the statistics exported with ethtool are quite self-explained, I would like to understand in depth the meaning of each variable. I guess those are described in the NIC Specs, but I wasnt able to find them in the Web (even in the Broadcom web page).
