This has been coming up every few months for a while now. e100 doesn't work on a number of ARM platforms due to its (ab)use of the DMA API. http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0406.3/1438.html http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0406.3/1481.html Apparently, Intel have shown no interest in fixing e100 for ARM, which because Intel also manufactures ARM-based CPUs leads to the situation where an Intel NIC is not supported in combination with an Intel CPU. IMHO, this is an even weirder situation than if Intel were to not support the Intel NIC silicon on third-party NICs.. *ducks* :-) Can we put a comment in eepro100.c stating our reasons for keeping it for the time being? cheers, Lennert - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe netdev" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
