The change in question is produced as: hg diff -c 23b3a46fa159 --reverse --git After I have applied the fix for JDK-8210493 some tests started to fail, even though initial testing didn't show any signs of the problem. It now makes sense to back those changes out, create a separate bug, investigate and fix the issue. The new bug has been created [2] with the title: "Provide a better fix for binding to node- and link- local ipv6 multicast addresses" Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
