I think that this thread should be moved to the net-dev alias.
I know that Michael is certainly a member of net-dev and is currently

from using the current embedded one is its unclear status in the
com.sun.* package.

To revive this thread - The blog entry in question is around 18 months
old (with no more recent entries to be found), and it does not touch on
this subject at all. Is Michael presently in charge of this piece of
software from Sun's perspective? Is he subscribed to this list?
