NANOG Community, During the evening on Friday February 28, 2025 between 8 pm to 12 am EST (Saturday March 1, 0100 to 0500 UTC), NANOG will perform an upgrade of the mailman software and migration of archives. During this time, all mailing lists will be unavailable, including the ability to make changes to your subscription options.
We expect this migration to be completed in three hours time or backed out. Detailed notes: NANOG will be migrating to mailman 3 during this time. All lists at < mailman.nanog.org> will be migrated to <lists.nanog.org>. All users will be migrated transparently, and optionally can create an account on lists.nanog.org to manage their subscription. The nanog@nanog.org and other @nanog.org list posting addresses will remain as an alias, but we request that you use [listname]@lists.nanog.org to post after the migration. The RFC 2919 and 2369 List-ID headers will change, so any filters members use may need to be updated on their systems. The archives will be imported, but the existing static archive will be maintained for historical link purposes. For testing purposes we have a list ‘test’ < https://lists.nanog.org/mailman3/lists/test.lists.nanog.org/> configured the same as the NANOG list. Users may subscribe to it and test out the new mailman 3 interface if they desire before the migration.
