I wonder what a world with 5V DC distributed within the house would look like. All of those power adapters are both ugly and a PITA. Of course that wouldn't have to come in from the grid, but still. I found a powerstrip which has a couple of USB slots in it and it's very nice. It also allows the AC plugs to be rotated which is nice for the remaining adapters.
