nothing comes for free. Pushing the complexity down to the host
level is not a "solution", just a workaround with its own set of
problems.
If you can't accept the following principle of the End to End
argument:
The function in question can completely and correctly be
implemented only with the knowledge and help of the
application standing at the end points of the
communication system.
validity of which is demonstrated by the Internet, and insist
that something complete and correct is not a solution
but a workaround, feel free to keep using POTS not smart phones.
