This is a _DNS_ vulnerability.  The Internet is more than HTTP(S).

Think about email (how many MTAs do TLS and validate the certs?).  Even
things like BitTorrent require valid DNS (how about MPAA/RIAA poisoning
the cache for thepiratebay?).
