yes, it fells pretty good but still some way to go ;-) I have also thought of skipping mplayer and go for mythtv. I have made a channel scan with dvbscan and it found a number of channels (43 if remember correct).
BUT, I dont have /etc/udev/permissions.d at all at my FC4 system.
