After installing php4-gd in KnoppMyth R5A16, I'm getting the following error
when trying to access MythWeb:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect()
in /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/includes/init.php on line 54
Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks.

you need to install the php-mysql package for your distro (probably
php4-mysql in your case).
