Pat,

If you're only using RF input, then component will likely look a bit
better than S-Video or composite, but is still probably losing a fair
amount of quality by passing the signal through the RF modulator.

I only run a small 14in TV via RF from a VCR (cable box and PC input)
so haven't observed how the picture looks on larger TV sets. On my
14in portable TV, the picture and text quality seems fine.
