Don't get too used to Control Center. (expecially if your using 4.1+ which MySQLCC doesn't support client wise) It has been depreciated for a little while now. The Control Center replacement is a combination of 2 things

The most direct replacement for Control Center is
http://www.mysql.com/products/tools/query-browser/

But if you get that, you probably want Administrator too.
http://www.mysql.com/products/tools/administrator/

Query Browser still has its bugs but they are coming along quickly.

Another good tool that you can use instead of query browser or the depreciated MySQLCC is SQLYog
