OK, I've got an odd one, and can't seem to craft a search that finds a match anywhere.
I'm running 0.17 on my frontend (a Shuttle XPC w/nForce2 board), with an nVidia 5200 AGP graphics adapter. I'm using MPlayer for playback (for now - xine was leading me in circles). I am running the DVI straight to my HDTV at (basically) 1280x720p, and have gotten almost everything working including the digital audio (arrrrgh what a pain that was!). Live and recorded TV work fine, as do DVD's played from the original disc. I ripped a DVD for testing, and it worked fine too, until recently. Now, whenever I play the ripped DVD (Watch Videos), only the left 2/3's of the screen are used for playback - the right 1/3 is still showing the Myth interface. It appears that MPlayer is taking over only the "native" width of the program, and ignoring the fact that the screen is larger. I'm using -fs and -zoom, and have tried with and without -monitoraspect 16:9. The odd thing is that it knows to try to center the program - there is a black bar on the left hand side of the image, and the program is centered on the screen, but the right 1/3 just shows the myth interface. It seems to be a straightforward windowing or overlay problem, but I can't find a solution. I'm using the same mplayer command for everything else - why is it treating the ripped DVD differently, and how can I fix it? I would also like to get xine working for DVD's. I followed the WilsonNet recommendations with little success - any other hints? Thanks! _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
