First, 0.17 is a fantastic release, the new DVB code is on the whole great and makes for a much easier setup.
But.. the DVB guide is ony filled if you leave the card tuend in MythTV. If you enable 'open card on demand' then the guide data doesnt get filled whilst programs are being recorded and mythfilldatabase doesnt work with DVB guide info. Dureing the day i use VLC to stream programs over low bandwidth connections and hand thecard back over to Myth every night making this a bit arkward
Also, there is a channel here where the video and audio stream specified by with PID are incorrect, as the channel uses seperate streams and uses MHEG to select the correct one. Using tools such as mplayer I can make a channel with the correct info, but i cant find a way to override the values in MythTV, is there anyway of overriding this? Ive got around it at the moment by using MythVideo to launch mplayer to tune to the channel but its not a great solution
Ive noticed a few bugs as well, firstly the fast forward and rewinding of recorded programs seems to pause until a button is pressed. Secondly, when switching pixel aspect ratio (which is a great feature) pop-up boxes such as for deleting recordings appear off the screen. Is there anyway of rectifying this?
Finally, dont suppose anyone has a nice way of getting MythVideo to play random files from a directory?
