Seems unlikely.  Mine's a Prescott with 800 mhz fsb to boot.  Only 512k

Dual channel works if you are doing bulk transfers to contiguous memory.  If
this is the reason we are all going to run out and buy Dual channel.
(Dual Channel is not the same as DDR, it works on top of DDR.)

I am.  Perhaps the word that the cards were all pretty similar for 
2D xvideo is totally wrong?

It should not make that much diff.  However, try the mythcommflag
benchmark I described in another branch of this thread.   Try commflag
on SD video while doing nothing, while playing 720p, while playing
1080i, and while playing 720p with xvmc to compare to all the numbers
I put up.
