So after months of happy Mything on FC2 2.6.8-1.521, I decided to update my kernel to FC2 2.6.9-1.11. After fighting with ndiswrapper (current version doesn't work and I forgot I had to re-install each time I changed the kernel) and the breaking video capture (the latest ivtv drivers recognized my PVR-250 as a PVR-150 and wouldn't work, so I rolled back to ck100zz), I still can't get my Universla remote working.
Basically, irw "works" in that it reports incoming remote presses the way it did before. I am confident my lircrc and lircd.conf file are correct (they worked on my 2.6.8 config). But, the remote does nothing in MythTV. If I do a dmesg after a modprobe ivtv I get this in the results: ivtv: i2c client addr: 0x40 not found! Any ideas? In looking at Jarod's guide, there are a bunch of differences for FC3 than FC2. I ams till on FC2 but a newer kernel than when his FC2 guide was written. How much of the new stuff applies ot my newer FC2 kernel? Everything else is good, just back to using the keyboard as a giant remote. Help would be appreciated. Robin
