I had some problems with the lircd.conf files available. I had to create my own to get it to work with my PVR-350 remote. I have attached my lircd.conf file just in case it will work for you. I have seen posts with simular symptoms. Could someone point me in the right direction for resloving this? Based on the strace I think lircd is not writing to /dev/lircd.
