Another option could be the sound of the TV trough the soundcard just like
listening to CD or watching DVD/Movie
Check your mixer settings in the audio setup and also, are you using
ALSA and/or ALSA OSS emulation? I believe that the release version of
MythTV can't control volume when using ALSA but this is fixed in the CVS
version with new mixer code.
