Right now, we are planning to install MySQL 4.0.17-standard (latest production version) on Solaris and Linux servers. We may want to access MySQL from unixware 2.1.3 nodes.
Latest 4.0.x version is 4.0.18.
If we install mySQL 3.22.X on Unixware nodes, will I be able to access MySQL db server running 4.0.17 on Solaris/Linux servers, from Unixware node using mysql tool as well as custom applications written using MySQL api.
