I could not understand what you try to do. But generally mysql runs on a server machine and the clients connect to it. Every client program you write can connect to mysql server seperately. If you want and need you can also write a server program too. But you have to be more clear about your problems and purpose to get a good answer.

Can you be more specific? A client application written on a test machine


that also houses the server will just need a different IP address in it's
DSN/Connection String and a copy of MyODBC on the new client machine.
