I have mysql running on a redhat-9. (rpm files)
I tried to change the datadir from /etc/my.conf without succes.
What do I have to do to change the directory of my databases from /var/lib/mysql (default) to /mnt/data/mysql ?
is the fact that /mnt/data a vfat partition a problem (if it is, I can make it to a ext3 !)
