Aren't these just aborted clients? When you upgraded before did mysql bring the server to its knees or just yield many aborted clients/connects? Any idea what your show processlist looks like when this is happening?
Before mine was flooded with a ton of processes like this: | 17546 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17547 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17548 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17549 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17550 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17551 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17552 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17553 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17554 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17555 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17556 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17557 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17558 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17559 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17560 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17561 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17562 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17563 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17564 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17565 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL | 17566 | root| localhost | NULL | Connect | NULL | login | NULL +-------+----------------------+-----------+---------+---------+---- Since my load averages are now 3 times what they were with the older versions (I am using MySQL binaries), I think its just a matter of time for me as well, but I wanted to give it a shot. --- Mark <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Thu, 31 Oct 2002 06:34:32 GMT, > SHUTDOWN REASON: 2013: > "Lost connection to MySQL server during query" > > On Thu, 31 Oct 2002 06:38:43 GMT, > SHUTDOWN REASON: 2013: > "Lost connection to MySQL server during query" > > I am going back to the .49 built.
