I've compiled and installed this on my Solaris8/Intel box a few times without a hitch.. I don't recall seeing what version of Solaris you're running.. ? I also compiled with just ./configure - I didn't bother with the other options.. although that might be asking for trouble under certain circumstances... I don't have the source in front of me to check but I seem to recall being able to compile specifically withOUT curses support? Is your ncurses library up to date? Changing which curses libs to use won't affect this issue - the issue is a header/include problem, not a library problem. If that doesn't help, let me know and I'll try to suggest other things as well as check out my installation....
