Egor, I'm running mysql-3.23.36-sun-solaris2.7-sparc. And yes, I'm pretty sure that the server is installed. I can still query the database using a DBI script and get results back.
My mysqld is in /usr/local/mysql/bin When I try running it, I get this error message: mysqld: Can't change dir to '/usr/local/mysql-3.23.36-sun-solaris2.7-sparc/var/' (Errcode: 2) 020520 9:14:29 Aborting I checked the path and there is no var directory in /usr/local/mysql-3.23.36-sun-solaris2.7-sparc I'm really lost!
