I am getting an error "java.sql.sqlException. Cannot connect to mysql server on ****:3306. Is there a mysql server running on this machine/port you are trying to connect to? (java.security.AccessControlException)" while connecting to mysql database. This error is infrequent, but when it comes, it comes continuously for some time and then stops after some time. I am using Java Web Server 2.0 for servlets and am running mysql on windows NT 4. The version of mysql is 3.22.27 Driver i am using is org.gjt.mm.mysql version 2.0.13. Please suggest a solution.
