Hi All,
SciBit is proud to announce the release of the first version of MyLook, the personal/groupware information manager using any MySQL server as message store. This release is also the launch of a new free open database structure standard for MySQL for use as a message store. MyLook is a personal/groupware information manager (PIM) much like Outlook/Exchange. MyLook includes full email-, calendar-, task-, contact-, note- and groupware functionalities. Multiple accounts, multiple folders, unlimited folder depth, internal/external attachments storage, attachment publishing, etc., etc. Lets not waste everyone on this list's time, if you are interested see - http://www.scibit.com/MyLook This project's aim is to have a real and viable alternative to OutLook / Exchange / Office by the end of 2002 using MyLook / MySQL / StarOffice. This project is the starting point for a free open MySQL database structure for a personal/groupware message store. SciBit will commit to maintain this standard and will now call for standard submissions by any and all developers and development companies as well as for add-on products/projects (open source/freeware/commercial) like IIS/Apache Web Interfaces, RFC Servers (IMAP/SMTP/POP/etc), etc. on all platforms. MyLook will also be made available for X within the next few months. An importer for OutLook PSTs is available and development for Pegasus / Eudora / Netscape / Mozilla are on their way. Kind Regards SciBit MySQL Team PS: As some of you may not know who or what SciBit is.
