Good afternoon. My first post to this list (and I am sure it won't be my last ;) )
In the process of biting the bullet and learning AMP, on OS X 10.1.2. Been messing with PHP for a week now, and I totally LOVE it. Coming off an 18-month project in W*/FM/Lasso... ready for a change ;) Anyhow, my main resources to date are the PHP and MySQL websites, a site by Marc Liyanage (http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/) and the book "PHP and MySQL Web Development" by Welling and Thomson. This book is written assuming MySQL 3.22.27 and PHP 4. I am ready to take a stab at installing MySQL at this point. My question: Do I install 3.23.42 or the alpha 4.0? -- Later...
