Hi Franklin, Actually it MySQL 4 does. I am not sure why this could not be put in 3.23, but I assume it has something to do with the extended table and index formats in 4.0. There is a small bug in it right now where it won't use the descending index witout a range in the where clause, but this is supposed to be fixed in 4.0.2. I also need this very badly for my application and am watching the source for this last bug fix. This alone is enough to get me up to 4.0 without all the other neat stuff!
